Brad Williams
Executive Director
Leadership, Education and Athletics in Partnership (LEAP)

Brad Williams is the Executive Director of Leadership, Education and Athletics in Partnership (LEAP, Inc), the largest Connecticut community-based organization serving children and employing young people in high-poverty urban neighborhoods of Hartford, New Haven, New London, Bridgeport, and Waterbury. LEAP operates in 13 neighborhoods and runs an additional eight community-based computer learning centers across the state. LEAP improves children's academic readiness, self-esteem and leadership skills, decreases violence in the neighborhoods it serves and graduates 100 percent of its high school student junior counselors. Over 90 percent of those students go on to college.

Brad is a 1995 graduate of Yale University and has been involved with LEAP since its first summer when he began as a college student counselor. In 1994, he helped LEAP expand its operations to New London and over the years has served LEAP as a Site Coordinator, City Manager, Staff Manager and Deputy Director. He was active in Dwight Hall at Yale and was an active volunteer at the Dixwell Q House during his undergraduate years. Brad is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas.
