CEO
One Economy Corporation

Rey Ramsey is the Chief Executive of One Economy Corporation, a national nonprofit organization founded in July 2000 with the mission of maximizing the potential of technology to help low-income people build assets and raise their standard of living. He is the author, with Ben Hecht, of the forthcoming book, Managingnonprofits.org (John Wiley & Sons). Prior to the founding of One Economy, he was the President and Chief Operating Officer of The Enterprise Foundation from 1996-2000. Under his leadership, Enterprise's operating budget grew from $12 million to $40 million, staff increased from 100 to 250 and field offices grew from 2 to 15 cities across the country.

At age 29, the Governor of Oregon appointed Mr. Ramsey to his cabinet as the state's Director of Department of Housing. Mr. Ramsey convinced the state legislature that housing should be connected to existing community action programs and created the combined Department of Housing and Community Services. Mr. Ramsey holds a B.A. in political science from Rutgers University and is a 1985 graduate of the University of Virginia Law School. He serves on numerous boards including Habitat for Humanity International, American Rivers and the Advisory Board of the Brookings Institution Center on Urban and Metropolitan Policy.
