Programs

YouthLearn's mission is to advance the work of individuals working with youth in applying technology to improve their effectiveness and the effectiveness of their programs. YouthLearn nurtures a learning community of those people and organizations working to increase opportunities for youth, particularly through out-of-school learning programs that integrate technology and provides rich resources for those starting or implementing out-of-school programs that integrate technology.

In December 2001, The Morino Institute entered into a strategic partnership with the Education Development Center (EDC), one of the nation's leading nonprofit education organizations. EDC now directs and has began to expand YouthLearn's offerings under the leadership of EDC Vice President Vivian Guilfoy and YouthLearn Director Tony Streit, with the long-term intention of establishing a national center of excellence focused on children, learning, and technology.
